Redmayne-Bentley offers execution-only share dealing and has also built up a highly successful investment management business handling charities, Court of Protection portfolios, trusts, pensions and private clients. Members of the team act as trustees and advisers, in addition to their investment management roles. The firm takes an active interest in local charities, in 2013 the staff raised over £11,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The staff have chosen to support St Gemma's Hospice as the firm's Charity of the Year for 2014.
Established in 1875, Redmayne-Bentley is a Limited Liability Partnership with 80 per cent of the firm's equity, held by four main Partners, all of whom are actively involved in the running of the firm. The remaining 20 per cent is held by staff members through a Limited Liability Partnership structure.
The firm has grown organically through a number of acquisitions and has 40 branches nationwide. The acquisition of the Private Client business of SP Angel in November 2007, was followed a year later by the acquisition of the Private Client business of Teathers. In 2013, Redmayne-Bentley acquired the Private Client list of Fyshe Horton Finney.
