It’s fair to say my training has not gone as planned with most of my spare time going into plans for emigrating the country at the end of the year and looking after my son Dylan now that my husband has gone back to Afghanistan.
I have only managed to get to the gym twice a week since returning to work at the beginning of September with one session being a circuit type class and the other being a run on the treadmill.
Yesterday, in my lunch break, I did a very slow and steady 5.6km run in a little over 30 minutes. I am miles away from anything close to a PB but aim to at least finish the distance with a smile on my face even if it is a slow run.
